Hello Eagle Families!

Welcome back to another exciting school year at McKinley Elementary!

Whether you are returning to our Eagle Family or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to welcome you. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in your child's educational journey and look forward to another year of learning, growth, and success.

At McKinley Elementary, our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child is challenged to achieve academically while growing socially and emotionally. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to ensuring every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

We are excited to welcome students and families back to a refreshed learning environment! Over the summer, McKinley underwent several facility improvements, including new flooring throughout our hallways, cafeteria, stairwells, and select classrooms, as well as the installation of new student lockers. We are also looking forward to the completion of our new playground, which will provide an engaging outdoor space for our students to learn, play, and build positive relationships.

This school year, our work will continue to be guided by our School Improvement Plan and the District Strategic Plan. We are committed to providing high-quality Tier 1 instruction by strengthening foundational literacy and writing practices, delivering explicit mathematics instruction, and using student data to meet the needs of every learner. 

We are excited to kick off the school year with our annual Back to School Bash (Memorial Park) on August 15th from 12-3pm, followed by the Parent Institute Day on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 8:30am and 12:30pm. Families are invited to visit the school, meet their child's teacher, drop off school supplies, and learn more about classroom expectations and the exciting opportunities planned for the year ahead.

The first day of school for students is Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Classes begin promptly at 8:20 a.m., with an early dismissal at 11:30 a.m.
